Experienced Challenges by Internship Nursing Students in Clinical Training During the COVID-19 Pandemic Era: A Qualitative Content Analysis

Background: The COVID-19 outbreak has changed the structures and orders of societies, especially in nursing profession. Objectives: This study was conducted to determine challenges experienced by internship students during clinical training Iran. Methods: using a qualitative conventional content analysis approach. A total 13 their final year centers Kermanshah, Iran, were selected purposive sampling from August September 2022. Individual face-to-face semi-structured interviews used for data collection. Interviews continued until saturation reached. analyzed following Graneheim Lundman’s Statistical methods not this study. Results: led 334 primary codes, ten subcategories, three categories. categories were: (1) future professional nurses; (2) education planning challenges; (3) trainees related challenges. Conclusions: revealed that personal, professional, official disaster. Nursing schools should proactively plan prepare themselves resolve expected better educational management appropriately.
